Well the first two weeks of the season have come and gone and they have been rather depressing for the Chiefs and there fans. There are many reasons why. Injuries to key players have not helped any but they are not the reason the Chiefs have had the start to the season they have. Turnovers to me are the most glaring reason the season has gone the way they have. A team the turns the ball over as much as the Chiefs have to start this season is just not going to win games. There is many people to blame for the turnovers. Everyone from Cassel to Bowe, Charles and McCluster all have to take there share of the blame.
The thing that I think this team needs most right now is a spark on the offense. Someone has to step there game up, put this team on their back and not let this keep going the way it has. It's too early to talk about the Backup QB and the backup QB is always the most liked guy when things have gone the way they have but if we don't see the spark soon I think it's something to consider to see if one of the backup QBs can give this team a spark. But someone has to step up and stop whats been going on. And the offense needs it the most.
The defense has given up a ton of points. They have not been helped by the offense. When you give teams a short field to work with over and over again of course the points are going to be high. The first part of helping the defense is fixing the offense.
This team has talent to win games or at least compete in games. The Lions and Bills are not that much better then what the Chiefs are. The Chiefs players need to get mad about whats happening and fix it. Haley needs to get mad about whats happening and fix it. No one but the Chiefs and thier coaching staff is going to fix whats going on. They need to do it fast or they will be out of the running FAST. It can be done.
