I have to admit that I only partially watched this game. My regular game watching buddy was not with me today and I had a number of post holiday issues to take care of today. While the game was on and I was able to watch almost all of it, there were times when I was away.

My general thoughts on this game are the first positive ones I have had to say about the Chiefs for a while. This is clearly a game we could have won, but as it is with so many games this season, the Chiefs failed to play four quarters of football.

That is not to say the Chiefs did not play well, certainly in the first half no one could complain about the way the Chiefs played. They were in the game and holding the Bagels well, however, they were a different team in the 3rd quarter. They came out and allowed some significant runs, knowing full well that the Bagels were going to run the ball all day long.

The good news is that Larry Johnson, after talking a lot of smack, had 4 carries and 11 yards, it makes my heart proud.

The Chiefs just did not get the work done on defense this game. Yancy Pendergast's days in KC red are numbered, this team has really gotten much worse against the run this season and Pendergast has to take a lot of the credit for that. I have been an outspoken critic of Todd Haley's for some time, but I think in this game Haley did the best he could with the talent on the field.

In short, while this was another loss for the Chiefs, I cannot help but feel that the Chiefs played a playoff bound team very well. Next stop is in Denver and I again do not expect a win, but I would like to see the Chiefs stay tight in this game.

Nice read, and is pretty much the way I feel about how things went down and about the future of Pendergast.

The old lady and i were the only ones that watched this game at our house. First game in along time that the kids didnt come back home to watch it. The reason, not worth the drive to watch the chiefs play. Understandable.
The played bad,not as bad as the last couple of games. More likely bengels playing down to our level.
The year wouldbe partical saved if they could beat the donkies but playing there and the donks about have to win to make the playoffs, god would have to be smiling big time.
Hopefully clarkie and pioli have seen enough to change things.

I would be a happy Chiefs fan should we end the season with a win.

I am really hoping we can capitalize on the Donkeys being down and pull out a win in Denver! That would set the right tone for next season.

They were down when they came to arrowhead and we got our butts handed to us.
As much as i want them to win donkies need a win for the playoffs. Plus, we cant win in donkyville.

This are all naked truths that I agree with, I know it is a long shot.

I have watched it a few times this offseason. It gives you just a hint of football and a good hint at football at that. Nothing better then seeing the Donkeys get it handed to them. :chieflogo:
