Six weeks ago this team looked like it was dead and buried. They had lost their best player on offense, their best or one of there best on defense. To say that the coach was on the hot seat would be an understatement. But after a Monday night victory somehow, someway this team is now back in first place. Or at least a first place tie. They are starting to look more like the team that went out and won the AFC west a year ago.
The credit goes to many people.
The Players on both sides of the ball. Simply put they have played better. The offense has cut down on the turnovers and that has helped the defense. Ryan Succop has turned a bad start around and has kicked the ball much better the last few weeks. The players still have some things that they have to change so they can get even better. But for the most part they are now doing the things that win games instead of lose them.
Coaching. The last two game the team has done a much better at getting off to a better start. We can only hope that's because the coaching staff is doing a better at getting the team ready to play. There are still a number of things that I would like to see change on how they do things. I would love to see the little draws on 3rd downs stop. They just have not worked. But the team has been getting W's so You have to give the head coach and the staff credit.
Overall this team has gone from looking Horrible to looking ok. There is still a lot of room for them to get better but they are doing a good job getting back in the AFC WEST race. The good thing is that this isn't even our full team. They are missing 3 key parts. This team is fighting to repeat a AFC West crown without those key parts. Things are looking very good for this team. I can't wait to see what this team can do at 100%
