Shaun Smith, Defensive End for the Kansas City Chiefs was recently fined $10,000 for ummm, well no better way to say it, for grabbing the package of offensive tackle Anthony Davis. The article I read said Shaun struck him, but if you watch the video below, you will realize, it was a grab.

I absolutely could NOT agree more with your assessment! We are better than that!

Do i like the grabbing...NO., Do i want Haley to get it under control,Yes...... But get him off the the team, NO. He has done more in 2 games than Jackson has done in 2 years. Jackson was a waste of a pick then and is still is. I dont like it but i do agree with Bill Mass that it brings alittle nastyness to the defense. This defense has been a joke for 10 years now and its about time they showed some balls,no fun meant.

This defense has been a joke for 10 years now and its about time they showed some balls,no fun meant. I have to say that I don't know if he did grab anyone or not, the video that I've seen is inconclusive. I mean in a court of law there isn't enough evidence that anything happened. The first time could have been an excuse by the opposition because Smith beat him badly and he had to have an excuse. The second accusation was that he "tried" to grab him? In this case Smith has been convicted by circumstantial evidence. If there were times previous, other teams college or pro, it would have been an already known trademark of the guy. The SF guy, just like most of the people that commented on the video I've seen, was conditioned before hand to see something that "might" have been there. If he did do the grabbing, it's something that needs to be handled. If he didn't the NFL needs to react to actual events not something that might have happened. At the very best I'm skeptical. I need proof that would stand up in court, not the NFL court - it's being politically correct to a fault here. I hope Indy finds out that they aren't as good as they think they might be on Sunday.

This defense has been a joke for 10 years now and its about time they showed some balls,no fun meant. I am not so down on Jackson, everyone has said that it takes three years for a defensive lineman to come around in the NFL. I tend to agree. We are really starting to see some good stuff out of Dorsey and a lot of people were ready to dump him at the beginning of last season. I think Jackson is a good player and will only get better. Smith is playing well too, and that can only mean good things for the Chiefs. I just want the man to play cleanly and fairly. One thing Smith has done now that will likely rear it's ugly head this weekend. He is on the list of the officials as someone to watch. After all this publicity, they are going to be watching his every move. Additionally, I would expect to see an ejection in store for him if he tries this stuff this weekend. He will get a penalty if they even suspect he is doing the nasty. When you add all of this up, his shenanigans have amounted to a liability this weekend. A liability that we didn't need going into this game. He needs to clean up his act! He will likely not be traded, so my desires mean nothing, but I do not want to see this nonsense on my team anymore!

Agreed, we all know is that all it takes is the mere accusation or appearance of impropriety to "convict", so to speak, a player of wrong doing on the field.
