heres their updated draft as of 12/03
round #1 #6 Kansas City Chiefs: Russell Okung, OT, Oklahoma State
When the Chiefs selected Tyson Jackson over Aaron Curry in the 2009 NFL Draft, it showed me that Scott Pioli favors positional value over talent. If he follows this principle again, he'll take Russell Okung over Eric Berry.

Left tackle is a huge need because Pioli must protect his $63 million investment in Matt Cassel. In nine games, Branden Albert has surrendered nine sacks and has been whistled for six penalties. Pioli didn't draft Albert, and the Chiefs organization doesn't have that much money invested into him (about $3 million over the next four years).

Pioli can afford to draft a franchise left tackle and move Albert around in an effort to give Matt Cassel more time in the pocket. He needs to protect his investment - no matter how bad it may be.

Berry is also an option; Kansas City's secondary is a mess, and Berry is the type of playmaker they need to help stop the pass. However, as mentioned, Pioli prefers positional value over talent. I think taking Okung would be the right move as well.

Pick change; previously Eric Berry, S
RND 2 #38 Kansas City Chiefs: Jonathan Dwyer, RB, Georgia Tech
The Chiefs have a talented running back in Jamaal Charles, but he's not an every-down player. With Larry Johnson gone, Todd Haley will have to find a complement for Charles.

I think Jonathan Dwyer will drop toward the middle of Round 2 or further because of the goofy offense he plays in.

Pick change; previously Jason Fox, OT
RND 2 #49 Kansas City Chiefs: Sergio Kindle, DE/OLB, Texas
The Chiefs' pass rush has gotten a lot better, but that's not saying much because they finished with 10 sacks last year. They have 14 right now.

Pick change; previously Dan Williams, NT
rnd#3 #70 Kansas City Chiefs: Darrell Stuckey, SS, Kansas
Remember when the Chiefs had a talented strong safety named Bernard Pollard on their team? What happened to him? Was he kidnapped? Is he tied up in a room somewhere with Jake Delhomme's son? These damn kidnappers will pay.

Pick change; previously Dan Williams, NT

My biggest concern is they dont sign any above average FA. I wish Clarkie wasnt so cheap.

If next year is uncapped don't look for things to get any better.
